The Star Micronics SP742 requires the use of ribbon that impacts the bond paper to make an image on the piece of paper. Lavu's iPad-based Point of Sale application does support printing black and red on the kitchen tickets; however you would need this ribbon to take advantage of this feature. Case of 6 ribbons.
